Nicky has 19 years professional experience in teaching, interpretation and project management and has been involved with a wide variety of education, interpretation and consultation projects ranging from working on environmental education projects with teachers in Russia and Ukraine, to organising and facilitating the creation of local transport action plans in Suffolk.

Nicky has worked on a number of projects with The Access Company including developing material for children to promote the Countryside Code and facilitating training programmes for local access forum members. Nicky is currently a Monitor and technical adviser for the Heritage Lottery Fund and is an Eco Schools Assessor.

She has been involved with the production of many educational materials including a website to support a countywide teachers' network on Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development, funded by WWF-UK; and a sustainable tourism display for a Norfolk Wildlife Trust visitor centre. She has worked as Education and Interpretation Manager for Suffolk Wildlife Trust, as a Local Authority Local Agenda 21 Officer and a Project Officer for a county-wide sustainable transport project with schools. In 2006 the Barton Broad Access pack she co-ordinated for the Broads Authority won a national award from the Association for Heritage Interpretation.

She lives with her partner in rural east Suffolk with a pond and a small reedbed. When not at work she likes trying to grow vegetables, walking, watching birds and taking photos.
